History

The Clarke Center was created in 1994 to enrich the Dickinson College community and larger community by organizing lectures, panels, conferences and performances on issues of public interest.

Established through a generous gift from Henry D. Clarke, Jr., a Dickinson College Trustee, the Forum enriches students’ education by giving them the opportunity to apply their work in the liberal arts to pressing issues of the day.

Today The Clarke Forum programs bring the key issues confronting our local, national, and international communities to the campus and move students intellectually and experientially out into the community.
